My first bad experience(94maxshima)

So I posted in a thread that I was looking for VE Taillights and 94maxshima pm's me saying he has a pair. I ask him the condition and he says they're excellent. So I tell him I want the lights and I get a money order and send it to him. 94maxshima receives money order and sends out the lights. Fast forward to today I get the lights and they're wrapped in tape. He never put the lights in a box and did proper packaging. So, I start unwrapping the tape and I find that the lights are cracked and they're missing the bulb circuits. I'm really ****ing pissed.

He put the back side of the lights facing each other and put bubble wrap in between, then proceeded to wrap them with masking tape.

It was like that except the labels were on the tape and the tape was on the headlights.

Well, he said he insured the package and that I would be able to get a refund of the same amount paid or more. However, I still have no refund or the circuit boards. Neither do I have any confirmation that he has shipped them or gone to fedex.

I spoke to him and he says he has been out of town. He said he is going to fedex tomorrow. He doesn't have the circuit boards for the taillights so now I need to look for circuit boards. Anyone have any circuit boards for ve tails????

Are you talking about the bulb housing? The tails come out in one piece after a lot of tugging and cutting of that super NASA goo they use to seal the tails. I don't understand how someone could send any less than what they come out as though. There is no "circuit board", it's all one assembly. Although after hearing about this packaging method he used, I guess it's possible he disassembled them just for the hell of it Sorry 'shima but, man, how would you like it if your credit card bill arrived each month mummified with masking tape?

Sorry, yeah.

Everything is being figured out and I just got PMed to this thread.

I packaged the tail lights with bubble wrap in between the lights, and on the outside, the people at "Goin' Postal" said it should be fine. Fedex, I'm almost sure has a min insurance charge and I'm going up to the place I shipped from today to ask about insurance and am going to get all or more of his money back. I have been out of town for the past few days (since Halloween) so I was not able to do much until now. The circuit boards were never agreed upon that they were in the sale, I clearly said it was just the VE tail lights themselves, though I agree'd to send out the circuit boards I had laying around if they would fit, which they did not since I swapped the good one's out of the VE for another pair long before this.

I'm REALLY sorry for the inconvenience and I'm trying to figure things out, (If I'll else fails I'll just refund you myself) I'm not trying to screw anyone over because I know what that is like and I'm all for doing good e-business.

Anyway, I've been talking to exub through AIM since the thing began and he knows I'm trying to get the $$.

Sorry dude, hang tight

btw, nice labels

I can't believe you thought that taping the lights together and shipping them to him was appropriate. That is completely asinine... Pay this guy back his money.

According to his profile this punk kid (94maxshima) is maybe 18 yo and needs a lesson in how to act on a forum for adults.

First off. I Offered you back half of the money you paid (Inc. Shipping) via paypal through AIM. You signed off on my face that DAY, and haven't saw you online since. Why is it you cannot PM me or AIM me with information since this Fedex stuff is taking too long, but you have time to complain in a thread about it?

PM me with an online way to give you your money back and I'll gladly refund you for half.

OUR AIM CONVERSAION (Nov. 15th, 2007) -- handled very adult like; perhaps I do need a lesson. Online threats?

* all my aim conversations are saved because I have deadAIM.

As for the shipping. It was my fault, I accept that, and I've learned my lesson as far as how rough shippers can be (note, they were bubble wrapped). I am offering money back. What else should I do?

Regardless, the rude comments aren't really necessary since you're all going by what one party of the transaction says.

Half back?,why only half?

This was completely your fault, none his.Their is absolutely no reason why he should take a loss on this transaction...You should be refunding him the entire amount, and you should have already sent him a money order/check or something long ago.

If i would have received a broken part due to your packaging negligence, and then you only offered to pay half of the money back,I would be just as pissed off about it as he is.

I realize this, but he did get one tail light in near perfect condition. But I still would like confirmation from him. I can send money online easily if he doesn't sign off on my face through my dad's bank or something. But I can't really send checks out.

I bet he'll be sure to tell the cops that when he gets pulled over. I cant imagine anyone in the shipping business telling you thats a safe way to package them, specially considering they make money selling you materials, like a BOX.

I got a paypal address and sent money today. I sent $35 for the broken tail light ($25) + however much paypal takes out as a handling fee.

Sorry about all of this, I still haven't heard from Fedex insurance.
