Which wire is the power antenna trigger?

Installed the new HU ok but which wire in the harness is the power antenna trigger? Couldn't find it in the wiring diagram I got online. Shows one for the 4th gen but not 3rd.

ICRC it's the white and blue wire.

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT INFORMATION?

Sorry for the big font if offended

I took my stock CD player out in order to repair it and I busted out my multimeter to test the connectors. I got 2 positive and negs volts each. Long story short. I have no time to test it in my car so I was going to hook the radio up to a power supply to test its repaired working state.

Its hard to repair something quickly if you don't have a schematic drawing. Thanks Internetautomar.

Edit: Mating end??? What about male/female connector. Everyone in this connector field (Digikey, RF Connectors, etc) uses this terminology. (Not flaming, but clarifying)

Male side.

I actually snipped that out of a PDF on how to install a stereo into the 3rd gen.
so no guarantees on the accuracy, other than that it worked fine on the sentra and the G20

Thanks for the info. The connector in this car was totally hacked off. I always use the adapters. Much cleaner and pretty much no margin for error.

Yeah I guess the MALE/FEMALE terminology has been deemed socially insensitive. Of course MATING isn't much better.

then I'd suggest to get both connectors male and female, that way you have a bit easier time reconnecting everything in the future

Finally got to wrapping up the interior and all my wiring. Problem is I don't have a white/blue wire in the stereo harness. Do you pick this wire up somewhere other than at the HU?

There are several white/blue stripe wires under the dash but they all look like they're connected to the heating/cooling system.

My stereo wasn't Bose, says Active Speaker on the rear covers. Car is a 1993.

I also have a 93 max. The connectors behind my HU are exactly the same as the ones in the diagram posted by internetautomar. The larger of the two connectors is the one with the connection for the antenna. It is a blue wire in my car. I will try to post pictures of it in a little while.

There are a couple of blue wires I see in there. One is in a seperate grey jacket with yellow, orange and green wires. I think that one runs back to the rear deck and that little amp. I wish like hell they hadn't hacked the connectors off.

Sorry, I didn't realize that you didn't have the connectors there any more. I have a couple of pics on my cell phone, don't know how much good they are going to be. I'll try to get them posted in the morning. If you have a multi meter, you can figure this out pretty easily on your own. Grab a length of wire (any old wire will do), open the trunk, open the panel where the power antenna is, and pop the wiring harness apart. If there are two wires in the harness, set your meter to resistance, and measure the resistance between each lead and ground. One of them will have zero resistance to ground, the other should be infinite. Attach the piece of wire to the connection that has infinite resistance to ground, then take the other end of your wire inside the car. Attach one test lead to that wire, then probe the wires in your harness with the other lead, and the meter still set to resistance. When you find the right wire, the resistance will drop to near zero.

I did see 2 connectors back on the antenna assy. 1 has like 5 wires running into a box (relay?... it was late) the other just 2. I'm guessing the 2 wire connector goes to the motor.

Just in the search I picked up these antennas have a motor timer. If that was right I'm looking to trigger the timer?

Sorted it all out finally. The wire isn't even in the diagram above. Did the process of elimination with the 3 unidentified wires.

Antenna trigger is the green wire with yellow stripe in the wiring harness. Connected that to the blue wire from my HU (remote power on).

Antenna stays up as long as 12V is supplied to the antenna relay so remote wire for amp works fine.
