Heater experts, drop some knowledge

At the moment, my heater only works when the car is moving > 35mph. As soon as I cross that barrier, I get heat immediately. If I get below it, the heat slowly fades away, speed up again and its back.

I first noticed this two weeks ago, and thought that maybe I did something wrong when I put the motor back in. A week go I took some time to check around, looked over hoses, everything looked good. Took it out for a test drive and the heater was working normally, so I thought "great! I fixed it!"

This week I drove a few times, and its back to doing the 35mph thing.

Are you sure all the vacuum lines at the water **** valve are hooked up correctly?

I thought I was sure when it worked right, but that only lasted a day or two.

A while ago, on the threads, someone talked about replacing a resistor will solve this problem. It's in the archives now. Someone could dig up the thread. I have the same issue too.

I think you are referring to the blower motor resistor?

This issue pertains to the fans control only working on 1-2-3 but not high (4).

Judging by that pic I did get some things wrong. Looks like I threw away one old hose and forgot to replace it during assembly.

I have extras so I'll cut and replace it once I'm home. Right now mine is hooked up in such a way that it skips that middle plastic part to which both small hoses connect.

Problem solved, thanks!

PS: My blower motor and resistor are working fine, thanks anyway darkwing.
