do i trust what the dealer said?

Ok so i took the car the dealership to get my oil changed and also when i got the car checked in i reported saying i heard weird squeaky noises from my front two wheels. it happens sometimes when i make a turn or hit a small bump from my driveway to the road. I told him i thought it was my suspenion and he told me that its just cause of the cold weather. Would that be something true?

sure it could be true. but no one here can really know without seeing/hearing your car.

Mine makes kind of a pop when I am backing out of the driveway and the rear tires hit the street. Its colder here but I am not sure if it does it when warm. Could be chassis flex, not sure. Mildly annoying for a nice car that's only a year old. And I am sure they will look at me like I'm crazy at the dealership.

You mentioned that there is a squeeky noise when you hit a small bump? I had the same issue and the other day when I got off my car and closed the door I heard the squeak. I opened the door and closed it again and heard the noise again. After trying to figure out where the noise came from I found out that it cam from the hood. I sprayed Wd40 on the hinge that locks the hood and havn't heard any noise ever since. I also thought it was coming from my suspension, but luckly it was the hood. Maybe your noise is coming from there.

Dealer may be correct in stating that noise/rattle is due to cold weather...have that documented so when something breaks you can point the finger at them for not fixing the first time.

When I had my Mazda Millenia S, I would sometimes go to different dealers if I did not like what they said regarding potential repairs. I also found an awesome local mechanic to do all the work that had nothing to do with the engine itself or trans. It was significantly cheaper and I was happier paying for repair bills when I had to.

How did you go to different dealers... doesn't each dealer charge a diagnosis fee (which is $90 here in FL for most Nissan dealers)? I think only Sears auto does not charge a diagnosis fee but I haven't checked recently.

My mechanic who does all the other work besides on the engine and trans would pull the codes off and tell me they were. Millenia S had a Miller Cycle Engine so he wouldn't have touch it cause it was just too different from what he was used to. I didn't blame him either, fir it is kind of a strange engine. So, he would pull the codes and I would take it to the dealer ask how much to do the job to fix the problem. If it was right out of it, then I would just go somewheres else. Case in point, I asked the Service Manager at the dealer how much it would cost to clean the fuel injectors, He said that he wouldn't know until it was done. I said bullcrap and left. Leaving it open ended like that will cost you some major $$$.

Doing it like this you have to be pretty in tune with your car and have a pretty good idea what may be wrong. I like cars so I like to be in the mix of it and when you start talking car lingo with mechanic they know pretty quick that they are not going to be able to pull the covers over you eyes.

I had this squeeking issue too. They said it was because of my front brake pads, that they were not genuine Nissan pads. But after I loosened the lugs and retorqued, the noise went away.
