Springs different for Auto/Manual Tranny cars ? wtf ?

When I go to order, all the sites ask what type of tranny I have. I've seen someone post here who specifically listed he purchased under a certain # with a manual tranny code. Could someone clarify ?

I'm about to order B&G springs. (1.6" drop all around). Does anyone know if I will need a chamber kit?
I am gonna keep my stock SE shocks/struts for a while. (they only got 55k on them)
Thanks!

There is no difference.

You will not need a camber kit.

in my service manual it lists stiffer coils for auto trans vs the man trans. I think this is to handle the extra weight. I havent seen aftermarket spring manufacters make different sets of springs for auto or man trans cars.

The reason I ask is becuase I am going to do a 5spd conversion sometime this year. Well, i'm glad there is no, or at least very little change between the springs. Just wanted to make sure it was safe when I convert. Thanks Turbo.

the difference is very minor. The only thing ive noticed is Eibach/Tokico combos on auto's seem to be a tad bit lower then Eibach/Tokico on manuals. no biggie.

is the manual conversion coming from a sentra or a maxima.. and what kind of pricing have you gotten, if any at this point?

I agree with mzmtg(I usually do), AFTERMARKETWISE, there is NO difference in springs for a 5 speed vs. an auto.
