Interesting drive to work this morning.

Cruising down a 2 lane 35mph road that the fuzz LOVE and a 5 series bimmer comes FLYING up behind me.

Left onto a 6 lane cross town road and the game is afoot. We tagged back and forth but I was smoking this bimmer. Finally got behind *her* only to discover that is was meerly a 525.

She ended up 2 cars back at the next light and a Mercedes mini suv thing is next to me. An *she* jams it off the line and cooks me. I didn't figure her for a race.

Next light 525 on my left, Mercedes AMG SUV on my right.

The SUV and I both smoke the 525, and she starts pulling on me till about 70 when she shuts it down.

I had NO idea that the AMG SUV was that fast ... she definitely could have smoked me.

 

Yeah, those ML55 AMG's are extremely fast. They have like 342hp, 376 ft. lbs. of torque and 0-60 in 6.4 seconds. Nice kill of the 525.

 

u tried to race a ML55 AMG? wow u got ballz.....that thing is so fast i tinkk 5.9 sec to 60?

 

Not ballz ... just clueless. I didn't know what I was racing till she passed me.

 

i thought i was trying to keep up wid a E320 once but it smoked me and i saw the back it was a E55

 

Ouch! That's always embarrasing when you try to keep up with a car that has just shy of 350 hp!

 

Yep! whenever you see AMG on a Benzo its gonna be fast with a ton of hp!!!!

 

just imagine how many times she has probably done that to unsuspecting guys who think they have ***** (not refering to you my friend)

That would be a HOT MAMA! On the oter hand the driver of the AMG was a MoM. 45+.

My wife on the other hand is a HOT MAMA. 5'10" and about 110lbs Nice to be me.

 

I know that no Max in stock form can beat a 330i....what about 530, since it has a heavier body?

 

Based on whight / HP it should be a close race, but the Max should win

3500 lbs / 225hp / 214 ft/lb of torque for the 530

3100 - 3200 lbs / 222 - 227 hp / 217 ft/lb torque for the max

Note that the 525 I whipped was *NEW* what is BMW thinking making a pansy 5 series with a mere 184hp????!!!!!

 

that big 5-series looks heavier to me...damn nissan put some weight on our cars....

 

BMW actually has a 525i (184HP), 530i (225HP) and the existing 540i (282HP or so). So now it's 3 models to choose from instead of 2 like before. I guess they made the 525i to cover a little bit more of the market, specifically people who aren't all that interested in speed but just want the little propeller on their hood

 

Yeah ... I thought I was racing something till I SPANKED the 525 with no effort. Darn propellers

 

shoot I'd own 540...I'm sure that beast would spank 2k2 Max, too

 

Me too ... but when you consider that the 535 is $36,000 BASE and the 540 is $52,000 I would expect to get spanked by the 540. Hell if I laid out 36K for a 525 I would expect to be able to spank a Max... after all <chuckle> BMW is a "Driving Machine"
