Frequent Wheel Alignments?
Frequent Wheel Alignments?
I was going to drop my car with S. Teins however I was told by a mechanic that when people tend to drop there cars, they frequently need a wheel alignment. How true is this statement. Also I plan to drop the front 2.5 inches and the back 2.0 inches. I'm not looking for a debate to pop up on which struts or springs are better I just wanted to know the facts about dropping and if you will need frequent wheel alignments and how to avoid that if so, thanks.

I believe its true.
You are going to be changing the geometry in your car, ie. your axles.
I also just bought some S teins to get rid of my 4x4 status, and as soon as Im done Im off to get an alignment.

They should not need frequent wheel alignments, however they will need one after the drop. Drop directly affects toe setting and camber.
Perhaps he meant "drop frequently requires a realignment"
