Any ideas on these headlights?

I know there have been some issues with the ebay headlights having poor output or fogging up. So I am just wondering if these were ok or not, or if anyone has had any experience with any of them.

Any help would be appreciated; apparently my g/f is going to buy me a set for Christmas, and I want to get the best ones. $200 is about her budget, and I was interested in these because they come with the bumper lights and the headlights are one piece, not a headlight and a marker light like stock...

Smoked: ones I like the most...

Or these...

Or maybe these...

Any suggestions?

I say the third one is the best deal. cause you get the clear corners. but if you really want the smoked one's get them.

Well I will probably end up getting the smoked ones if they don't have the low-ouput problem I have heard about in the past. Maybe it wasn't these - it may have been when people paint the inside of the housing that seems to make them dim.

I just have no idea about headlights for my Max - I haven't done many cosmetic mods to any of my Maxima's, just performance/audio...

IIRC, I've heard that the beam patterns in these suck! Most people say not to get them unless you plan on retrofitting some projectors in there.

Bingo. Light output stinks. Only a good idea if you are going to do an HID retro.

On all of the suggestions I posted above, or just the blacked-out ones?

Why would the output be bad on the clear set? Just curious...

So what are good headlights to get for around a $200 budget?

Also, what if I got these and an HID kit to go with them?

I personally went wit the smoked ones on a group deal here a year or so ago. The light output sucks. They are a lil better when hids are put in with those headlights. But i knew i was retrofitting them so i had no problems with the pattern bcuz my patern was going to be from my projectors.

Another option is cefiro headlights but they require a lil modification to be put on (from wat i've read, i've never personally owned them)

AFAIK, The output doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they may or may not be "smoked." My guess is that the reflective silver thingy behind the bulb (excuse my technological terminology) is a poor design resulting in poor light output.

You might look for some cefiro lights. Check the classifieds or post a WTB thread. They look basically like 1 pc version of the stockers. They do require some modification to fit in a maxima tho...cutting a bracket out IIRC.

I don't know jack about HID...
