ECT Nissan VG OEM part numbers?

So I needed to replace my first ECT on a friend's VG a few days ago.

Agents had no stock - ordered and it arrived yesterday ........... #@$@%!!#$^!!!!

Price? - R404 (local) = $62 ............... how I wish I could buy spares in the US!#$%#$%!$#!!! again.

Guy hands me the thing and its blue - not red like the one in the vehicle.

So I query the fact and after checking a lot of fiches, CDs etc he keeps insisting that its the right thing and cannot explain why there is a red one in the car (fitted by Nissan themselves the last time the vehicle was serviced)

So the blue colored part number is 22630-51E02, and the red one I removed from the motor is 57351-10940.

Anybody know which is the right one and more importantly what the differences are? .................. apparently I suck at searching the nett for info

Thanks - wonder why they used the other one then? - typical useless service department?

The real worrying thing is the words "temperature range - blue" printed on the delivery package of the new sensor - I keep wondering what the difference between a red (?) and a blue temp range is therefore...................

Thats the thing - I couldn't find anything about that number anywhere on the net - there is however a Nissan badge stamped on the sensor and it looks quite original - guess my net search skills are not as bad as thought then.

Will go bend the Nissan parts manager's ear this AM and see what they have to say about that part number - will report back with their sad story.

Where did you get the part number for the red one? Is it printed on the sensor? If anything, maybe he had the wrong sensor installed or an aftermarket napa deal. The one the dealer gave you is the correct part, you're good.

Number is off the old sensor metal body - nicely stamped numbers and good quality stamping work too

So the agents that serviced the motor acknowledges the fact that the ECT got replaced, but they cannot explain the red vs blue thing and sure enough the guy that worked on it then, is pleading ignorance ................ and for good measure the number apparently doesn't make sense to any of them either.
