Does anyone have pics of the engine after complete that show where you put the fluid resvior and even pics of the process, I have found the write up but can't tell much from the pics cause they are so small. did you have a cel issue after it. thanks

What reserviour are you refering to?

 

5spd swap is pretty simple, but time consuming.

 

i think hes talking about the master cylinder for the clutch... i could help you with the swap through the org if thats any help to you. Im sure you live too far for me to drive but as darklegend06 said, its time consuming.. took me about an entire day, striping the 5spd max, striping my auto, the reintalling the 5spd in my auto max.. I'd say the BIGGEST P.I.T.A is if your car or the donor car has ABS.. the brain for it is a bish to work around

 

i wanted to take pics but i started working and i just didnt work out.. i would have had to have somebody there taking pics..

 

 

You shouldn't have any CEL's other than maybe Park/ neutral switch and even then you can get rid of that.

you'll need a 5spd ECU to clear the CEL .... the auto has more electronics than the 5spd

yea right man i couldn't fit with my wide shoulders.... i had to cut it from the other side...

 

YOu should check my cut,

I drilled a small hole, and from there I worked my way out with those metal shavers to make the hole the master cylinder hole size. TOok me 4hours.

 

i want to see what people used for spacers on the firewall with the clutch pedal. i feel like I put too many washers. i bought a cheap *** ebay master cylinder and the clutch pedal never feels like it engages the same twice in a row. i dont think there is any preload but the master cylinder rod is just barely screwed into the pedal.

 

I bought a 4 big washers with a small enough hole for the bolt to fit through, then I bought 2 big nuts that decently big then bought two nuts that fits inside of the big nut and a hole big enough for the bolt to fit through.

I bought these plumbing nuts from Lowes. You just need something that is 3/4 of an inch.

 

My rod is barely screwed on too. I forget where I saw actual spacers, I think it was True Value or some other Hardware store that might work well. I also used a few washers, but didn't use enough. My engaging point is pretty high so just as Kev said make sure you use something thats 3/4 thick.
