I30 2000. It seems the "fluorescent" dash lights are not as bright during the day as they once were. Has anyone else notice this? Are there bulbs behind the dash that go out?

Ya, the eurolites were brighter than stock until they melted the headlight harness!! Now I'm back to stock bulbs.

Getting back to the dash cluster lights, mine seems especially dim on the left (gas gauge) side. How about yours??

Today the weather was in the 50's and the dash lights were fine. Must be the cold making them dim.

The cold kills my car. The windows take longer to go up, the windshield sprayers don't work, the steering wheel audio buttons don't work until they are heated, the list goes on and on.

Do you notice they do funny things in the cold like when you hit the volume up button, the channel changes?

Or when you stop and a red light, don't touch anything, and the channel changes?

You are correct. In general, I guess fluorescent lights do not operate as brightly in cold weather. I don't know exactly why, but I Googled info about fluorescent lights and it lists this as one of their drawbacks.
