Test pipe fitment issues, it's too long... (thats what she said)

I ordered the Tuning Pros test pipe from ebay but i think its actually made by Megan Racing? Mine came in a MR box. Can somebody confirm this? Anyway, the test pipe is too long. Its about 1 - 1.5 inches longer than the stock cat. There is no way this pipe is going in there. I know a handful of people on here have this test pipe and I think i recall someone mentioning this before but i couldnt find it searching. Any insight appreciated. I might just take it to a muffler shop and have them fix it rather than dealing w/ shipping.

I hate to say it but you do run that risk when buying parts off of ebay. I wish you the best, the only thing I can think of is trying to adjust your entire exhaust which is not going to be worth it.

I bougt one of these and had the same result now its sitting in my garage collecting dust. I tried to contact the ebay guy and they blew me off. Then I gave him negative feedback and he wanted to resolve things then. The best offer was to give me 15% off my next purchase from their shop. Why would I want to buy something else from their shop If the first thing I bought didnt work. I wanted my money back.

Thanks for the feedback. I think adjustng the whole exhaust would be too much trouble. I think the B pipe would rub against the exhaust track or w/e its called. Im just gonna take it to a good muffler shop i know of in town. Hopefully they can measure and cut off how much its off by.

I bought one as well from ebay and came up with the same issue. I couldn't get my money back as well and I left negative feedback. I just gutted my cat instead since I already had it off

What was the length of the stock cat. My cat is clogged and im going to use a test pipe temporarily until i can get the money together to have a cat installed.

The muffler shop fixed my test pipe. They just cut one entire section closest to a flange, the part of the pipe that isnt resonated. Obviously, either side will work. It fit perfectly. The best part....they didnt charge me anything! They werent busy at all so they didnt have anything else to do. Just throwing this out here for future refence. I gots me full exhaust now...YUH!

Haha ya it is raspy. I know, I didnt have any cash on me, just plastic, otherwise i would have.

I ran into a 6.0 GTO on the way home. I took off from the feeder quite briskly but he didnt want any, all he did was rev at me
