Annoying rattle

When I hit a major bump in my I30, there's a rattle that seems to be coming from the dash. It sounds like it's coming from the panel above the clock, where the nav system would go if my car had that option. It's an '01 so it doesn't have the compartment there. Any suggestions as to what the cause might be? I know it's vague but perhaps someone else has had a similar experience.

The panel that contains the compartment/nav/nothing is definately removable, so I'm wondering if something either came loose or broke inside the panel and is causing the noise.

I do not have this rattle, but can confirm it is easy to remove this top panel. I do have the NAV screen, still all I had to do was pull the vents below it, remove 2 bolts and lift up. Check wiring and padding maybe?

Mine has the rattle on and off. I've also got the storage apartment above the clock. I can't seem to figure out where it's coming from. It is rather annoying though.
