window strip tint (sun strip on top)

Hey quick question,

You know how our cars (I know at least most of them) have the factory sun/windshield strip across the top which is that bluish color on the inside and pretty black on the outside...

Well has anyone ever tinted OVER that? I'd like to lower that strip by adding some tint but I'm afraid it may look weird because of the factory tint already there. I'm afraid that two shade will be visible on the outside of the car.

Has anyone done this??

yea mine goes about 1/2in. below the legal limit (the little line on the left side of the window) it doesn't look bad. from the inside you can see the difference where it overlays the factory shade. from the outside its just all black.

5% or darker strip here... You won't be able to tell the blue tint is even there from the outside. Here's the best pic I have ATM:

You cant go lower then the ASA line on the glass, look in the corners, you should see a Line with asa above it .

Even if you go with 20% you should still be good. Make it a little lower.

I didn't do it on my maxima, but I did it on my prior car and you couldn't tell the difference... 5% black strip right over no problem... I think it looks good
