Window noise

My 01 sounds like the passenger back window is barely open. When I go any higher than 45-50mph. The window is not open and theres not a way to push it up any further. Whats the issue? Could bad weatherstripping be to blame?

The weatherstripping could be the problem. Open the door, put a piece of paper over the window frame and close the door. Try pulling/sliding the paper around and see how much resistance there is. Try this with another door as a reference. Having the window rolled down will make it easier to slide the paper.

Also double check that the window glass is going all the way up into the channel and not stopping at the edge of the channel which would give the appearance of being rolled all the way up.

Foam inside the rear view window helps tremendously.

Sunroof spoiler helps but I have yet to install one

Go to shiftice.com, clock on the How-To tab, then select "Rear window wind noise" under Fixes. This took care of the issue on my maxima.
