PAC OEM-1 (Add an amp to your BOSE)

I have a PAC OEM-1 that I bought for my Jeep with the Infinity System. I bought it when I got my WJ, but the Jeep ended up being a lemon and I got rid of it.

This unit allows you to add one or two amplifiers to your BOSE system with ease, no cutting or splicing of wires. It is great for adding a sub amp. I bought it used but never even installed it. Looking for $30.00.

I take PayPal only and I only ship to confirmed addresses.

You will need the ADD-NIS1 or ADD-NIS2 cable to adapt to the back of the Bose.

You can also use it to add a different HU to the bose system, but you need different wiring harnesses (I don't remember the names).

Well, I want to make sure it will work for my situation. Here is what I have installed. Apline CD player with front, rear, and sub pre-amp outputs. Sony front speakers running off of the Apline. As of right now, I have the BOSE rear speakers/amps in the car which are unplugged. I know I know.....I should just spend the money and buy some rear speakers, but I don't have the money right now to buy some ~$100 rear aftermarket speakers.

Can I wire up the PAC OEM-1 out of the rear pre-amps outputs on the cd player and then go the BOSE rear speakers and amps? Or is this just plain stupid to even do?

If you add the harness, you can use this to send a signal to the bose amps from your aftermarket HU, btu if I were you, I'd look fo rcheap 6.5" comaxials (even used ones) and go that route.

I'm not trying to kill my own sale, but I don't want to sell you something that isn't the best for your situation.

Interested! So if my gf had the bose hu and speakers, how would I add a sub? (Sorry, never dealt w/ bose before, only aftermarket)

It looksl like I tap the wire going to an amp from the HU with this thing. Then I run the audio wires to an amp in the trunk, and hook it up from there? If so, which wire do you tap?

You use a pass-through harness (ADD-NIS1 or ADD-NIS2 ) and then this has a set of RCA outputs that you will run to your amp. The ADD-NIS1 or ADD-NIS2 will be direct plug-and-play. You won't need to cut and splice anything.

If you need RCAs or power wire, I can add 4 or 8 gauge wire and a 20" RCA for $15 (for the 8 gauge) or $27 (for the 4 gauge).

Is that 20" or 20'? I assume it's in feet, but I just want to make sure.

Would you do $50 shipped for the 4 gauge, RCA cable, and PAC OEM-1?

Edit: I found out that you can just splice the low-level bose output with RCA cables, I think I'm going to go that route.

If you want though, I'll take the cables for $25 shipped? How long is the 4 gauge wire? 20' as well?

The 4-gauge is 22'

I DID mean 20 FEET on the RCA...

How about $30 shipped for the 4-gauge and the RCA? The 4-gauge is heavy and expensive to ship.

Does the 4 gauge come w/ any ring connectors or fuses/fuse holder or anything?

No, the fuse holder that I had was junk, so I trashed it. I can throw in a fuse, if you want, but I don't have a holder. The battery end was in an aftermarket post/terminal, so no ring.

$28 shipped.

You are basically buying wiring and I am paying the shipping.

I'll throw in all 3 fuses that I have- you can use the one(s) that you need.

I have a 1-into-4 Rockford Fosgate fused distribution block as well, if you need it. The "in" is 0-4 gauge and the "out"s are 8-gauge, I believe. $15 more if you want it.

That link works...

What I have it not the same as that. I don't know exactly what makes it different, but it isn't the same.

There is a harness that will let you do the same thing, but I don't have it.
