2000-2001 guage cluster in 4th gen

okay so i know we have this, http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=302653 but has any one put a 2000-2001 maxima/I30 cluster in their car? any writeups?

props to the original modders but i dont like it. i think 4th gen SE gauges look better

its not so much the looks as the brightness that im after. i think the site was having issues cause i finally got it to work.

If you're after 'brightness' go for brighter bulbs.

IMO, If the 98+ SE clusters came with the Ti finish that the TE's did in 03, I would definitely go w/ a 98TE finish

i would but its hard to find really bright 74 bulbs, and i cant sodder(sp?) morth a damn. i was going to use the a33 I30 guages actually.

there all black when the car is turned off i belive. but they light up real purrty.

yeah, but im a 5spd so i dont need the indicator. even though some dont think its worth it to do some mods and i agree at times, but i don't dig my stock guages anymore.

i have it in my 4th gen.. I like it because it reads past 140 FTW(and it reads 98k miles when i really have 160k,lol) but the lighting is nice too

Now isnt that TMU when you take out the gauge cluster and throw in another. The mileage reads different correct?
