Exhaust Parts

My exhaust is about ready to fall off, I want a stainless steel system but I don't want a lawnmower sound. I'm thinking about buying one of those EBay Stainless steel cattback systems, chucking the Muffler, and adding on a Flowmaster Series 50. Has anyone tried this, is it a good idea??

Thoughts?????

I would say post this in the 5th gen section for more attention. But cattmann builds awesome products and they sound good too.

You can always weld the exhaust back on. Other than that, ebay pipes with better muffler would work

How much is the eBay piping? Getting a custom exhaust might be cheaper.

Custom piping may be alittle cheaper, but Ebay pipes are Stainless steel, no more replacing EVER!!! Thats worth an extra buck or two.....car has to last me a while because I am investing in a house soon and upgrading to an 08 isn't gonna happen.

Are you planning on modding ur car more in the future (i.e. headers)? If so, put that into consideration because its going to make things A LOT louder if you go with a muffler other than stock.

If not, then any aftermarket catback isnt going to be that loud, and you can always change the muffler out to what suits you, or get an stock replacement rear piece.
