CHECK THIS OUT!! My CAI w/pics

Well I got it all put on. You won't believe the gain I got.

Before I posted the following times:
0-60= 6.9
1/4=15.34 manually shifting the auto

After the mod:

0-60= 6.52
1/4= 14.89

I have pictures of what I did at the following link

if this was GTECH, did you use the same stretch of road? That would be much more accurate than switching roads.

Yes it was with a g-tech and I ran on the same road I ran the first time. The exact tract I ran the first time.

Did you rig this whole setup on your own?

How did you make the custom bended pipes? Or do you have a shop?

That looks hot!!!

A friend and I put it together over the weekend. Took us about 2.5 hours. We bought the 3" pipe, it came in a U shape. We just cut what we needed and welded it together.

How did you get into the fender or infront of the radiator? Where did you drill a hole?

Look great!

The filter is to the left of the radiator, underneath the battery.

Right above the plastic splash guard.

its just not choked up like the factory tube is, and is pulling air from under the car. I think there is enough preshure there that is going to get a good stream of cool air.

Under noraml throttle you cannot hear a difference. It is still pretty quite. However, at WOT, there is a noticeable difference though. Everyone I show it to thinks it makes the car sound a lot meaner.

So do you hear an hissing type sound between idle and 3500rpm?

awesome man

Sweet, I think you did a good job. I tried the same thing a while ago but could not fiond prober tubing. Where did you get that tubing?? Also not to knock your write up.. I think alot of people would appreciate it around here if you did a real through write up. Listing parts/price and where you got them. Also, I do not think you need to paint it cause it matches the block . BUT you do need to get rid of the orange stuff used under the fasteners, get some black stuff But yeah man looks good, why did you move the mass air all the way down? Or is it down there on a 2k2..
