B&M Tranny Cooler
B&M Tranny Cooler
Does anyone know what the appropriate B&M Tranny Cooler is for our car. I'm getting conflicting answers through searching. I just wanted to clear this up. Thanks
I suggest that you guys do a search for this.
There are a lot of threads already about these, as well as a lot of opinions about winter driving.
Some guys take them off for the winter and some leave them on.
The B&M Have a thermal bypass that doesn't allow the fluid to run through the cooling plates below a certain temperature, and are preferred by many that live further north. The Hayden are pretty popular toward the south.
Like I said, do a search and read the old posts.
Here's one to start. Note Post #4:

I have a hayden hence...no...automatic temperature shut off...and I live in the north.....
From my experiences..when its cold...It just has colder/harder shifts..and takes a longer time to warm up than it normally would....thats all.

I'll let you know which one I got. I'm debating whether to install it because I may have a issue with my radiator. I think the have the same one as Newfoundlandude but i need to check.
they should build a syatem that heat the tranny when it below operating temps and cools it when its above operating temps. that would be cool and save me a lot of gas during winter warm ups. i can only dream. lol
you all ever hear of this product http://www.webastoshowroom.com/blueheat/index.html under the products the engine warmer anyone know anything
