tranny replacement, question....
allright, im not doing it but what other than the rear main seal and input shaft seal ( if needed ) should i ask the tranny shop to do???? im guessin they're going to put fresh fluid in, i dont think they're going to put the old fluid back in from my other one. btw, its a used tranny with 70,000 miles on it and the place where i bought it is giving me a 3 month warranty. they did my nieghbors tranny in 1 day and that was a rebuild. its an auto btw.

rear main seal on the motor
have them rebuild the trans completely
synthetic because regular has too high an ash content and isn't good for the trans. You could buy the nissanmatic fluid at the dealer if you really wanted too, but it's probably cheaper to buy the synthetic.
nissanmatic fluid is for newer cars 04 or higher. i called the dealer and thats what they said. dextron 3 and a softener additive is what i'll have to add. probably bg or something similar.
