distance from the wheel well to the tire will be the same so it will still look high

lower it for performance anyways

but get a slightly lower drop on the front than the back to get rid of that famous max sag

depending on how many miles you got I would just wait till your whole suspension needs replacing anyways, saves money that way

Itll look like a 4x4 from the ground to the bottom of the car. I lowered my car before getting rims. I loved every minute of it being lowered with no rims. Youll be surprised how good our cars look with the stock 16" SE rims on there.

Hey Kyle....you will need to drop it trust me. With the 18s....the wheel gap will be huge and it will look like this:

your 16 and can afford a 99 max, wheels, lip kit, and lowering springs? crap your loaded. I have been working 2 jobs all year for 2 years and still would never be able to afford all that stuff.

well good luck just make sure you really think a lot about what you want to spend your money on. dont be a impulse buyer that always sucks.

to answer your question without the lip kit your wouldnt look to bad with the 18s but with the kit it would look like total crap.

Just in case you wanted get an idea of what the car looks like lowered with 18's.

Running H&R's. Back when Ian's owned this car it's has Sprints and B&G's. The H&R's have the best ride I think, with a moderate lower. Sprints are just way too harsh, and B&G's seem to sag really easy in the back.

so true.

anyways get red/clears for your red maxima.

also just get springs/struts before rims and your lip kit.

or get them all at once.

what kind of rims you thinking of getting for the red?

also a lot of people on the .org will denounce the Tein S-tech, but in my opinion they look really good. 2.2'' drop in the front, which is slightly lower than the 1.8" in the back. It looks better than H&R IMO
