CV Joint - Need Advice ASAP

Hi Guys

I'm about to get the car in for repair and would need advice asap. I got an estimate from the dealer saying that I had a transmission leak cause by the right CV Joint Seal. Now I'm about to get my whole CV Joint replaced (that includes the CV Boot) because I'm pretty sure it's done too. Now I'm wondering if replacing the whole CV joint assembly will fix my tranny fluid leak or if I need another seal that goes in the tranny.

Please help!

Thanks

The seal at times should be replaced, when replacing your CV, I meant it is wise to do so, especially while you have after out. What makes you think you need a new CV? Is the axle making a clicking noise while turning? Is the boot cracked or leaking grease? It's a simple enough job to do yourself if you give it a try.

yeah it's clicking pretty loud when I'm turning. I actually called the dealer and they have that seal (12$) so I'm gonna pick it up and get it changed while I'm there. Yeah I wish I could do it myself but I don't have a garage and it's -16C outside right now :-)

Thanks for the reply!
