Alright, so I just installed a JWT pop charger, and it sounds strange when accelerating. It sounds raspy, almost like a fart can.. Not even close to the sound of an intake on the 3.0 I had a stillen short ram intake on my 2001 max, and it sounded great.. nice deep growl above 3k. But this one just sounds weird. I tried to switch the JWT filter with my stillen filter, but the sound is still the same. I checked all the bolts, and they're tight.. the MAF assembly is pushed in all the way to the intake tube and tightened down with the clamp. Has anybody else noticed that weird raspy intake sound on a 3.5? Is that just how a 3.5 with an intake is supposed to sound?

no, i don't think so... it sounds more raspy.. its hard to explain... kinda like the difference between a quality exhaust and a fart can.. the same intake on my 3.0 had a much deeper, better sound... what do you think could be wrong? like i said, all the connections are tight

 

well my berk went from making a cute puppy growl on my 3.0 to a full grown male lion roar on my 3.5

 

that's interesting.. i could try switching the velocity stacks.. the JWT is on there now, and i could put on the stillen velocity stack on there with the filter and see if that makes a difference.. i doubt if it will though... anybody else had a similar experience?
