L@@K what Mr Catts sent me...

After threeeeeeeeeee months of waiting finally got them...
This is the new CAT he is selling, supposed to be better flow and it cost me le$$.

Now I can install and complain about how a simple bolt on did not deliver the performance I was expecting.....
But I swear my car gained 5hp just by taking them out of the box

Seriously I have an exhaust that is literally falling apart. So, I guess I can justify the expense as a necessity and not a frivolous, impulse buy.

Yes I have heard it is not pretty and to boot my car is originally from New Hampshire and pretty rusty underneath. I am sure there will be many "F"-bombs flying

holy cow. I've been hearing that even a straight pipe doesn't flow THAT much better than stock a cat. How can you justify 240 for a high-flow cat? Was your stocker crapped out anyway?

My entire exhaust is shot in the a$$....the guy who owned the car before me had everything welded to gether so I could not salvage.

I know 240 is steep but shop around I would have saved maybe 50 on the part but had to pay shipping from that vendor. Brian sent the cat in w/ headers so shipping was free

Well I suppose that's not half bad then. Not to mention I'd much rather support Cattman than stillen, jwt, or some other big-name, crappy service place.

Yeah I grabbed one of the fastcats with my headers as well since my stock cat seems to be clogged up.

Looks nice, that's exactly the same products I'm getting in my box minus some bushings!

to the OP how much did you pay for the headers before shipping? Thinking of picking these up.

I guess your not selling your car anymore?

pretty sure you mean "flex section"
headers dont have cats and the lack of flex sections has stalled brian a few times.

or do you mean that aftermarket main cat?

I spent $180 a few years back B4 Cattman offered the fastcats! I got mine from Warpspeed, it's the Stainless metallic substrate hi-flow cat! You can drop a pencil lead thru the honeycomb. The difference with the stock cat and warpspeed is very obvious when peeking thru the honeycomb!

I asked brian for a qoute and he asked that I did not share it with anyone so I feel obligated to honor that request.

I am still selling the automatic...
In the process of buildup the 6spd....got a good deal last year on an 02 with 70k mile, leather, meridian picked it up for 9k. It needs some maintenance. Exhaust was one but i palnned on doing that anyway

yeah, I have a quote for $465 w/ the simulator.
I thought that was very resonable given the PIA this job will be

Those look really nice but $240 for the cat wow, I know it's flanged already but you can get high flow cats for just under $100 from SpintechMufflers or Magnaflow, etc. I'll be anxious to hear how it sounds once they are installed though.

Installed

So I went to Maximuntuning and had these installed.
A week later I have spitting sputtering coming from mid-car someplace.

Sounds like a sewing machine when I let off the gas
Must be a gasket failure or maybe just need to retorque all the connections
have not had time to crawl under the car and figure it out.

Anyone else have an exhaust leak issue so soon after install?
Is that pretty common?

sounds like a bolt or two has come loose.
fix it quickly and you can possibly save the gaskets.
wait too long and it'll burn holes in the gaskets and you'll have to replace.
