Rear Parcel Deck removal?
Searched through the how-to's and found a couple broken links, so I'm assuming this question has been asked before:
How do you remove the rear parcel deck?
Also, what are the 2 thin metal bars in the trunk that run under the rear deck? They look like they're the reason that the trunk has a little of a "spring" action and doesn't close all the way.
The reason I'm asking this is because I'm planning to mount my amps under the rear deck in the trunk, and the 2 metal bars are getting in the way. I've looked through the "show us your trunk" pictures, and some people don't have the 2 bars, so I assume they're not that important.
Any help or insigh would be appriciated.
(This is not in the Audio Forum because it's specific to 5th gen rear deck/trunk)

it should be in the audio forum but...you will need "trunk" struts to hold up the trunk if you remove the bars. Otherwise, that trunk is a big liability to safety. I would consider mounting the amps in other areas like under the front seats or behind the rear seat rather than the rear deck.
