rattling noise (video)

rattling noise (video)

My engine is making a rattling noise thats pretty noticeable

does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

Their are so many different noises in the vid that i couldn't tell..

A few things it could be..

Broken manifold studs

Loose timing belt tensioner causing belt slap.

Wood chucks chucking wood?

Sounds like some kind of belt issue mixed in with noisy lifters.

What kind of Max do you have? a SE . If so, Rattling noise may be the VTC.

look at the motor...its a VG

gotta be careful with the trim designation, because not all SEs are created equal. my 89SE has a VG just like all 3rd gen GXEs do and all SEs through 91, but just the 92-94 SEs have that VTC-riddled VE (not that it's a bad motor... just has that monkey on its back). but anyhow, the OP doesn't have VTCs on his cuz it's a VG.
