Is it a law that your break lights have to be red? I thought i saw clear break lights, but maybe that was just clear tail lights....

Red brake lights are a law. Not sure if it's federal or state, but it is definitely a law.

Clear tails... what is wrong with red?

Red tail lights are a law just like turn signal corner lights have to be orange... Now if you get clear corners and replace the white bulb with a yellow one, then all is good...

Maybe if you get clear tails but with strong red bulbs, the brake lights show up red and you won't have a problem....

What is wrong with having red tail lenses anyway? Red goes with a lot more body colors than the orange turning lights... Orange doesn't really match with anything so that is why the clear corner lights look better almost always...

In NJ, your brake lights have to be red, either the lens or the bulb. Clear (Clear Outs) brake lights are illegal too except for the new Euro lights, the IS300 at least.
