VE- CPS o-ring??

I noticed Im leaking a small amount of oil through the CPS(think thats what its called, you adjust the timing with it on the VE motor.) I unbolted it and took it off, theres a black o-ring type deal on it thats not sealing all the way. a little bit of oil came out when I pulled it off, but its obvious a small amount is coming out while its on..

Is this o-ring replaceable? will the stealership carry it or special order it?
If no one knows what im talking about I will try to borrow a camera and take a picture. Thanks again for the help guys

Or just find a suitably sized o-ring from a parts store.

How do you know the rubber in a generic o-ring will be safe for oil if you do that?

almost all o-rings are made of buna-N rubber. the black ones you'll buy at the parts store are going to be the same material and I wouldn't worry about them.

just wanted to add that some "o-rings" are specific like when i went looking
for a new torque comverter lockup o-ring when i replaced stripped torque converters(my old white gxe
and ex's old 90 stanza) i was told they are "lathe cut" i think was the term
which i was told means they are round in circumferance\shape but square in diameter
(kinda like an oil filter gasket)

I've got those in a box for my next 3rd gen

by the way the tires are as round as a square cut o'ring when off the car.
