CEL for P1336 --- 0905 input needed plz!!(UPDATED)

hey guys, im getting the CEL for this code

P1336 --- 0905 which is the crank position sensor (POS)

has anybody had to deal with this same issue and also what is the difference between the crank position sensor (REF)
and crank position sensor (POS)???
i have read the stickies already btw, i know about the taking it off and cleaning it cuz its magnetci and all the other stuff but i would like to get some input from anybody who has indeed dealt with the (POS) cuz i am getting the p1336 code and not the p1335 which is the (REF).
any input is highly appreciated

Edgar

UPDATE

So i replaced the sensor with a brand new one, also checked the connectors and they are clean and the wires are fine, erased the code and it came back a day later. i was wondering if maybe the fact that i have a fidanza flywheel had anything to do with it. i have bno clue why the code would be comming back, if anybody has an opinion, plz post it. any help is appreciated

DESCRIPTION
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the oil pan facing the gear teeth (cogs) of the signal plate (flywheel). It detects the crankshaft position signal (1°signal).
The sensor consists of a permanent magnet, core and coil. When engine is running, the gap between the sensor and the gear teeth (cogs) will periodically change. Permeability near the sensor also changes.
Due to the permeability change, the magnetic flux near the core is changed. Therefore, the voltage signal generated in the coil is changed.
The ECM receives the voltage signal and detects the crankshaft position signal (1°signal).
Possible cause: bad harness or connector, dead or weak battery, chipped signal plate(flywheel), or a bad sensor.

Good luck brother.

Check the timing ring on the flywheel to see if the sensor can read it properly

Look where the sensor goes and look at the timing ring for chipped teeth or anything
