Exhaust fitment and quality questions

I need to have my catback replaced as it's leaky and rusted through. After searching the forums a little I found that most of the cheap catbacks are no good and have fitment/quality/rust issues. I was wondering if the b-pipe/resonator from LSS has good fitment and quality. Also do I simply place the order by phone from them?

I also need my muffler replaced and I heard that the dynomax superturbo is relatively quiet. what model number would I get for it to bolt right up to budget b-pipe?

Are there any problems or issues that I should be aware of for each of these products?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah the budget should be fine. But for the muffler your going to have to weld on. I don't think dynomax has something that is direct fit on to our cars.

You'll only get a bolt-on (which is what I assume you mean by "direct fit") muffler if you buy a catback that comes with it. Besides, welding doesn't cost that much anyways.

Yeah any shop should be able to weld it and bend it accordingly for ~75 bucks.

260+70+75 = 405

are there any good catback systems for 450~ USD? I'm willing to pay for more convenience. Cattman's is just so expensive is there anything

I guess if there's no problem i recall a shop around here that a member recommended. I heard budget takes a while. I'd like to have the parts within 2-3 weeks because I have inspection soon. Would it be a problem?

quiet Max

i went with Monza $260 with shipping direct fit 2.5 inch, if u have a 95 or 96 you need the bung plug for post cat o2 cause 97-99 had o2 in mid pipe its a metric 18 1.5 pitch.

Not real loud but very tony if you want loud could easily swap out muffler with a cannon if you wish lol mid pipe brings u right over axle str8 with muffler for easy swap.

btw nice car whitea32

What would be a reputable dealer to buy the exhaust from (98)? It's loud for my tastes but It looks like a quality product so i'll probably end up with it.

sorry to highjack a thread but ive seen online an EPA approved high flow cat and the guy said that for a 95-96 it had a bung in the back for the O2 sensor. would that eliminate the need to go buy a sensor pipe at the nissan dealer?

dont think so

the 97-99 sensor pipe was a metric 18
the o2 for the 95,96 cat was only a 14

not sure thread diameter but the 95,96 o2 was about 3/8
the plug in my mid pipe is way to big for a downstream cat o2

well GD would be optimal but i need this part pretty quickly. I have Inspection at the end of the month. http://www.autoaccessorycyberstore.c...tail?no=851423 does that site seem legit? It seems like the only site that has a inventory indicator for around 520. Also does this exhaust come with the necessary gaskets and such?

well considering i don't want some generic ****ty exhaust that the shop would charge me 640 for.. i'm just looking for a cheap alternative. Anything would be quieter than my leaky exhaust right now. Have fun street racing hondas ricer.
