AC Want Blow on 4

I need help diagnosing the problem with my ac. It blows on all of the settings except for 4. I have changed the blower motor resistor, so thats not the problem. I also hear a loud ticking noise from time to time when I start the car coming from the selector whenever it is not set to blow through the vents and feet. Has anyone else had this problem or know what the problem is? Do you all think that it could be the switch?

If the motor turn at all on any of the other settings, then it is not the motor. More than likely it is the fan switch. Does it have the temp control, or the basic, slider and fan ****?

Hit up a junk yard, a new piece will run you $100 or so.

Problem fixed

I went to the junk yard earlier today to get a switch. Needless to say it fixed the problem. Thanks for all the help in solving my problem.

As for the others who a/c only works on 4, you will need to replace your blower motor resistor.

I made a post about this earlier, I had a similar issue, everything works (buttons lighting up wise) but I don't get any air regardless how high the fan is on. The fan doesn't turn on.

Just replaced my resistor switch today, 42 bucks from Nissan. Took 15mins, 2 screws and it's out. What a great feeling to have my ac working right again. It's nice not to hear the blower going full blast. I love the internet and the Org. Always a wealth of info.

If i get whole blower motor assy from junkyard should come with resistor??

does this resistor have a 4 pronged plug and look like a card when you pull it out?

You got me on that one, I've never had to change one.
