FS: Technosqaure ECU and stock ECU for 95 GXE Auto
This is the Technosqaure ECU from my 95 GXE auto maxima. My car was wrecked a little over a year ago. Only had time recently to sell these parts now that I finished med school. I still have the 00vi upper and lower for sale in my other thread. This is an awesome mod. I hadn tried to get Technosqaure to do the exteneded rev limiter but to no avail. I oaid $400 at time for my ECU to be programmed. The only thing to note is that the bolt that screws the plastic connector to the ECU broke off leaving a stub where the screw is. The plastic connector for the wires fits tight and snug and has never been an issue. I wuld suggest removing your screw on your connector before pluggin this in. I tried to remove the stub left on the ECU to no avail. Price is $350 shipped. I'm also selling a stock 95 GXE auto ECU since I had hoped to send my Technosqaure ECU in for the extended rev limiter; never happened. It has a dent that is only cosmetic; the ECU works fine with no codes. I'm selling the stock ECU for $40 shipped.

I was really surprised by this comment. You weren't here during the glory days of technosquare and JWT ECUs were you?
good plug n play ecu. thats why you pay that kind of money. gl with sale. and more than likely you are going to be just n\a with that ecu so a retune really wouldnt be all that necessary unless you put in larger injectors

this might be a noob question but oh well. Was the ts ecu tuned to work with the 00vi for some extra gains or is that impossible? ive got the 00vi in my garage and was curious if i could tune the ecu to get more out of it.
thanks

Unfortunately no. I had the 00vi installed and called technosquare to see if they could extend the rev limiter, but they told me their engineer couldn't do it. They stated that they weren't even dealing with modding 4th gen ECUs anymore. I was kind of surprised because there was some talk of technosquare trying to extend the rev limiter a while back.
spoon feeding 101 here...
"No post dumping. Absolutely NOONE likes to be dumped on. I will personally enforce this. If you dont like the price, dont buy it. If you think its too high, dont buy it. If you found it elsewhere for less, go buy it. End of story. There is absolutely no need to bring someones product as well as their own esteem down. If you have nothing to contribute. DONT POST ! It doesnt get much simplier."
straight from the stickies.

Just curious, what DOES it do for you if not extending the rev limiter? Not trying to thread dump, just looking for some info. Advanced timing? Different fuel management? Makes cupcakes for you while driving?

Pretty much. It advances the timing and gives a more aggressive fuel management. It yeilds a 15 horsepower gain from the dynos that have been done with it. You can look for a JWT ECU with the extended rev limiter, but it's going to set you back about $600. Technosqaure wouldn't due or crack the rev limiter on theirs. I called them up and offered to pay up to $200 for it. They said they don't flash 4th gens anymore.
is the stock FED or Cali (if it makes any difference)? I am having some problems in my 96 and come to find out that the engine and all the EVAP system is from a 95. So I am looking for a 95 auto ecu to fix the problem. would you go lower on the price? I am just a poor student who wants to fix the Maxima to the max.

I think it is FED. I looked at it but there's no indication of FED or Cali. I'm going by probability as most ECUs are FED. I don't think FED or Cali makes a diffrence with the ECU. I believe it's the y-pipe and precats that are different. Moreover, it's more of an issue with 99 maximas.
