Sounds good. -about on Black Book Value.

And a Nissan makes a fairly decent Slush box.
Infact I've lost many a time to an auto simply because of sloppy shifting.- Plus if you have to comute through heavy traffic it'll be ok. However - You could take away my left leg and I still wouldn't give up my five speed. It's too much fun.

sounds pretty good. check the kelley blue book website and price it out. based on what you find out, offer him 1000 less than what the mid-book value is. his response should indicate whether he's hard up or not to sell. if he laughs at you, you'll need to negotiate up. if he says ok, you've got a good deal. also spend 450 on the tranny mod as well and you'll have a nice ride.

Trany Mod...

"also spend 450 on the tranny mod as well and you'll have a nice ride"

You can convert an automatic to standard for 450 bucks? Can i do this on a GLE? I saw a GLE i like for 13500 but, of course, its a auto which SUCKS, but for 450 bucks that woudl rule!

The price sounds a little high to me. I paid 11,100 for a full loaded 96se. Probably selling it to make money instead of turning it in. I would definately offer less and look around more unless you really love the car then its worth it. My car was like NEW, but had 60kmi. Good Luck
