Air Ducts

i was wondering if anyone would be interested in an airduct for the driver side front bumper. this would be used for those of us with true CAI. this is still in the works nothing has been done yet except for some talking with ionicdynamics

I'd need more information about the design before I said yes or no..

Yeah same here.
If it has anything to do with removing the fog light permanently or hacking up the bumper count me out.

what im thinking is a piece that mounts where the driver side fog light is.
it will start as a funnel and form into a 3 inch pipe. to funnel all air coming through the fog light hole into the airfilter.
this WOULD NOT allow you to have oem fogs

if you don't have oem fogs then what diff does it make having no fogs and the air duct.
they will still direct air to the air filter 1 way or another. if you really wanted a duct directing right at the filter, y not just buy one of those ribbed flexible tubes and make your own duct

The benefit vs the cost isn't justified.

You want power? Go FI or go home.

do u mean something that would go up all the way into the intake? i know there would be a filter somewhere. but a unit thats a complete CAI from the bumper would be interesting.

Meh, sounds like buying something that is easier to make. I dont have a cam handy but I tried it before, left my stock airbox bottom half mounted to fenderwall, and had my short ram filter placed right above it....bought a section of flex tube and connected it to the airbox end, ran it down to the front fender, cant see it at all....doubt it does much if anything but FWIW, its there and I never took it off. There was a guy here before, forgot his name but Im sure someone will know who Im talking about...he was from Canada somewhere, who beat these ideas to death. He tried all kinda of stuff like this, from making the stock intake snorkel into a funnel type design to routing tubes to the airbox, always had some butt dyno/placebo comments to each setup.....never proven to matter.
