I need help with a hayden 401

Im buying one next week and installing it. I need a how to. I searched but found nothing. Thanks! (tranny cooler)

The 401 is small though. From what I remember most orgers use the 403 or 404.

alright. Ill check em out. I was at Advanced auto today picking up some stuff and saw the hayden coolers so i decided to go ahead and do it just trying to figure out sizes and installation. thanks

I have a used hayden I was trying to sell awhile back. I don't remember what size it was. I would have to double check to make sure it didn't get damaged when I moved shops and to see what model it is.
You would have to buy new nylon mounting straps or figure out another way to secure it like those zip ties in the picture above.

the one i found was a pretty good price and i dont think you could ship for the $30 my local Adv auto has it at lol

Actually I had it listed at $30 shipped when I was trying to sell it. It also comes with plenty of tranny hose. It was installed on a maxima I bought but I removed it when I swapped engines.

on the 404 Hayden. I had that one on my 88 maxima and it did its job and then some. I sold that car with 216k miles on the original tranny for 1600.

They also have, at Advanced Auto Parts, a bag of the stuff you need for installing them. The special zip tie like looms to go with them and hoses if you ever needed any. Thats what I did when I bought my B&M tranny cooler used for my 95 from here. Didnt cost much either.

it comes with everything you need to install it. i'd do a 403. it's what i had on my 4th genny.
