Why 10W-30? You should be using 0W or 5W-30. The manual will say 4.25 qts with oil filter change, but in reality more like 4.5...you can add more as needed by measuring with dip stick.

10w30 is fine.

Good luck with the oil change. Check the condition of the trans fluid as well, now is a good time to do so.

Thanks for everyone help. It was actually very easy lol. The filter is right behind the pass front wheel so we didn't even put it on the lift. My question is I kno the book says 10w is there really any difference using synthetic? I went to the Infiniti dealer and i overherd someone who worked there tellin a customer theres no need for synthetic becuase its not recommended. I don't kno if he knew what he was talkin about becuase he also said you can switch back and forth whitch i knew was not true lol.

hmm, I always add synthetic Mobile 1 5w-30.
BTW, I have a question about engine oil, if the oil is very low in ur engine, will the light on from your dash board?

If the oil light comes on and stays on, it is usually too late because then it has barely any oil left

There is a LONG oil thread in the Fluids Section, where you'll find info like Mobil 1 synthetic is too thin for a 30 weight...etc

Temporarily yes, such as emergency top off, but full oil change is still recommended.
