2000 maxima se speakers amp and sub

i have a 2000 max se. It basically only has 4 speakers and two tweeters. Can i straight up swap those four speakers for the bose speakers?

OR

can i take out a complete bose system including the 4 speakers, amp, and sub from a friends totaled max and put them in my car?

first question, no. Bose speakers run on 1 ohm, not recommended.

second question, yes. But I would recommend taking the head unit too.

Most peoples opinion, stay away from the bose. The headunits are made by clarion and suck. Constant problems.

Do some research in the audio and electronics section. Plenty of information for you.

Stay away from anything that says Bose on it. You'll thank me in the long run

I would upgrade to something aftermarket if I were you. One thing though, if want to hook an amp up to your speakers, you can't run it through the stock grommet because it is a harness and you cannot pass wire through it.

i second the sh*t bose headunit...i got my max used, and a month later the sub went....now over the past week my headunit has scratched 4 cds beyond reading capabilities (all burned luckily) and recently stopped playing cds all together....so im biting the bullet and dropping $1500 on a jvc headunit, two alpine 600 rms amps, and two 12" apline type r subs with each one having peak power at 1500w and 500 rms....do the math and thats 3000w peak power and 1000 rms total baby ...i tested them at bestbuy and played my own cd, "whatever you like" by t.i. actually caused boxes to fall off the shelves
