I put in clear corners today, and I decided that I would rewire my cornering lenses while I was at it. I read all the faqs I could find, but they all say that there are 2 wires running to the lights and a ground. All I see is a positive, a negative, and a ground. I would splice and solder the wires but I believe that I would be switching positives and negatives which can't be good. Did they change the wiring for 99's or am I just missing something.

Thanks for the link but I was speaking of the corner lenses next to the headlights. There are supposed to be 2 wires there that you switch so that your corner lenses are brighter. My wires are pretty small and there only appears to be one positive and one negative wire to the small part of the light. On the large part of the light where the bulb goes there are 2 wires as well. So basically I don't see how I am supposed to swap the 2 positive wires because I don't see 2 positive wires. Does anyone else have a 99 like this?

The two positive wires were only on the 95-96 Maxima's. The 97+ Maxima's only have 1 positive and 1 negative...but...there is a solution. If you look at the bulb, there are two filaments. The harness is actually supposed to have two positives and a ground, but Since Nissan did away with the clearance lamp system, they only wired it for the 8w filament. The easiest way, if you are decent with a soldering iron, is to take the harness out, take the bulb out, and resolder the wire in the other connector. The only thing you have to do is pull the little rubber boot that the wire goes into on the end of the harness. Then, heat the connection on the inside of the harness, where the bulb would touch, and after you heat it up, pull it out of the 8w hole and resolder it into the 27w hole. Its very simple, and as soon as you take the harness off you will see what I mean. I have done this to 2 97's so far.
