Take the airfilter back to stock and go to a different dealer.

The hell with that, Come pick my A$$ up and then we will go right back to that dealer and let me cuss them out. I am good at that and I will gaurantee they will fix that light or look at it.

Pick me up and we'll just see.

Load of crap, wont touch the car cause of a air filter and a exhaust? get off me, PLEASE pick my a$$ up. Ooooooooooh do I want a piece of them.

Just burns me up when dealers say that crap.

Cant you tell I am flaming right now?

Well the dealer refusal sucks, but maybe something else is causing the problem. How long was it between the first time and the second time the light came on? How many miles do you have on your Maxima? Maybe you have that ECU problem some guys mentioned.

i went through one tranny and the manager believed that i was a racer because of all the mods and says that the mods added too much HP for the tranny to handle

SES light

Since the dealer didn't want to do anything, i disconnected the battery again, and the problem is fixed, at least for now.
Last time it was good for about 3 months until it went on again.
Peace, and thnx guys,

Is there only one dealer in your area? You know, you don't have to take it to the one you bought it from...

Have you contacted Nissan North America? There should be a regional representative or center that will help you with your complaint. I had to do that on my old 1998 Honda Accord. I got a lady assigned to me and my problems were solved shortly.

Regardless of how you drive the car, it is warrantied for 3 years. Now if they can prove that you used a s/c or Nos, then yes they probably can prove that you are at fault. Otherwise, go above their heads.

Good Luck.

Yeah my SES light came on too. I also disconnected the battery the first time but it came back on in a couple days. I then took out my NOS and brought it in to the dealer. They said it was the Evap Canister and replaced it. But unfortunately my car is still there getting the airbag light fixed.
