This the very best "MOD" for a 4th Gen auto......period

Trade it in for a 5sp! I just purchased a 96SE Autotragic in July of this year this was the very first automagic I have ever owned, I have been miserable since I purchased the car and like many of you I have done some research on the "conversion". I went to the dealership where I purchased the car just to stop in and say hello and believe it or not that had a 97SE 5p same color "emerald Green" not sure what Nissan calls it. This makes Maxima # 5 2 second Gens 1 3rd Gen and now 2 4th Gens all the others were 5sp. I now have to get my Ypipe and do do all the electrial mods again. I am labled as a "NEWBIE" but I have been around a while but I just don't post much.

No more putting the car in neutral at stop lights pretending to be a 5sp, yes I am guilty! come guys I know I was not the only one doing this. I can say that I will "NEVER" drive a auto again. I will say the 5sp is obviouly faster but most importantly I can once again control the car and now I am once again connected with the car The 97 only has 60K miles on it and my 96SE had 92K. It is safe to say I am a happy camper.

ciao,
Pat

There's no Maxima as cool as mine in the area, therefore I am converting.

If only I could get my parents to let me trade my car in on a 5-speed! I don't know why they won't let me...I pay for it. I guess they don't want me to get into bad habits of buying too many cars. My current '97 SE is my 2nd Maxima and I'm only 16. I previously had a '92 GXE, then decided I wanted a '97 SE. Too bad I settled for auto. So if I go for a '97 SE 5-speed, it will be my 3rd car in my first year of driving! At least they'll all be Maximas!

To NickStam and Seouljah and Craig Mack...

NickStam, I knew you would reply, yup it is a wonder thing I may have sheaded a tear today. Seouljah I got the car for $12.9K SE w/leather and only 60K miles. I just had to jump on it, since my last post I have hot wired the radar detector to the map lights and rewired fog lamps Monday we will switch Y pipes. I will drive this one until the wheels fall off. Craig you are right there in Florida when are you doing the conversion "Craig Mack 1000 degrees"

later,
Pat
