Trunk torsion bar

hey how is going, i was wondering if anyone could tell where i could buy trunk torsion bars for my max. its an 02 gle and im trying to install a spoiler and need these bars. where could i buy them besides the dealer??thanks

Or you could search for the writeup to use struts instead of those bars.

Could someone please help me out with a link to the trunk strut write-up for a fifth gen. I found one for a fourth gen, but all of the pic links are dead.

I think it's no difference whether it comes with spoiler or not.

YEA installing those two rods are a PAIN in the AZZ... I have the same problem with my max... i tried to look at the setup of the trunk on two of my friends maximas and they have the same problem too and never fixed it. You have to twist it in a certain way but when i do that it always pops back out... I might have to take it to a body shop to get it done.

They ARE different. The can be purchased at a junk yard, I think I even have a set but due to length, not worth selling them. Anyways, they couldn't be that expensive at the dealership. They are fairly self explanatory how to reinstall them if you really think how the bars are going to move under pressure. I constantly have to remove reinstall these in rear end accidents at the shop. GL.
