A new bulb by Sylvania...and my assessment >>

It's called Silverstar:

http://www.sylvania.com/auto/silverstar.htm

Looks like another attempt by Sylvania to compete with the Philips BlueVisions. According to the Sylvania site, the output of the 9004 bulbs is 700/1200 Lumens ...this is way below the rating of the BlueVisions.

I think that the best "superwhite" bulbs out there are still the BlueVisions.

As for the 5th Gen crowd...you lucky bastids ...you guys should be installing the Philips VisionPlus...unless you have the OE HID system.

Shhh...let's keep this post quiet (those moderators are just going to tell you to do a search ) but here:

http://www.autolamps-online.com/home.htm

or

http://www.autooptiks.com/matrix.html

You might be able to find them at a Strauss Auto...if that chain is near where you are located.

IMHO, BlueVisions are a slightly brighter stock yellow...

But I think that I'm going to believe the Philips drawing.

Well then...Sylvania Silverstars for everyone!
