i have a 06 maxima and want to change my fog lights to another color. how do i open the cover i have the 06 and the fog lights are on the side in the bottom i dont know y they arent staright like the 07 but wat kind of bulbs are those

 

the ones on the side of the bumper for an 06? those are lights to help you see when you make a turn,thats why they turn on with the blinkers ...i think. not sure if they're actual fog lights.
but every one agrees they're fuglly lol thats why alot of people on this forums do the 6.5 gen bumper swap

 

oh really do you have pics now it makes sense and i agree they are ugly

 

just corner lights they are supposed to light the corner when you put the blinker on.... sucks I know.

The fog lights are next to the main headlights. Closer to midline. The bulbs are often dead though, just like DRLS in canada. I changed mine to 6000K50W HIDS.

 

50W!! I thought that was too bright? 35W is what I was recommended. Do you have any pics?

 

I would say a good half a dozen people on this forum have done the front bumper swap.

Your only dilemma will be to find one that matched your car color. If not you will have to buy and paint it yourself...that could be costly. In fact if you go that route, why not just get the front gtr.

but if you find one on ebay or junkyard that matches your color, go for it dude. All if you have to do is install and slight modifications to the front corners of the hood. Guys plz give him the link that explains how to do this.

Not exactly plug and play, the front corner of the hood has to be slightly modified. But this should give you an idea
