ES motor mount question....

I installed them and i'm really hoping that they will break-in cause since the install my car starts hard and there's a good bit of vibration in the cabin...

How long do they take to break-in?

Does your car start hard?

Should I do the idle air procedure?

just some pics because lol....

I figured the cold is keeping it extra stiff, hopefully it will soften up cause my god, the car feels like a race-only car and not a family sports sedan lol....

They won't get much "softer", maybe a little, but its more that you'll just get used to it. Plus it's only at idle, once you're in motion you don't really feel it.

What does the idle air have to do with the motor mounts? Or were you referring to a separate issue?

I thought maybe the engine sensors would read more engine movement and slightly raise idle to smoothen it out...I could be all wrong, I give it till about summer time or it's back to stock...

you may have to to adjust your knock sensor to the more vibration. Otherwise your ECM goes into fail safe and your airflow meter will get false reading. This is particularly problematic if you have headers and have O2 simulator where that tricks your ECM software thinking you actually have O2 sensors installed while they actually generate some dummy voltages to show that everything is ok so you won't get a MIL light on. However from the pics it looks like it is not your case.
Also you cannot blame me but i had to write this haha. Sorry bud. just j/k

I took the video but when I review it you can't really notice the rougher idle, it's hard to hear from a camera maybe if I put a piece of paper on the steering wheel that might help, I will try it later but for now here is some pics and the video...

The reddish build-up in the pics is just some grease from the install, taking the old mounts out were a HUGE problem, they were like heat warped unto the metal of mount ring.

Here's the videos...

Yes I used a press but it wouldn't get it out I ended up using an air mini jack-hammer sort of thingy and prying it out till it gave way...I would rate the install a 4 if everything goes well and nothing is stuck but if that mount is stuck to the holder then i give it a 9 cause getting it out is crazy but once it came out everything after that was a breeze and even taking the mount frame out is easy...
