silver or smoked bumper lights?

Ok, this is my question.. i am looking to make the side marker lights blend with my car better. i have the sheer silver ( you can check my car domain to see the color).
What i cant decide is to tintt he marker lights the xame color as the car or to tint them a smoke black. I want to still notice the orange and red underneath just make them blend better.

over the weekend i got some window tint and tried to see if i could tint the lights that way. Big mistake... the tint does not adhere to the plastic at all. i like the look but know it will fall of soon. This is what it looks like.

if i do black i want to replicate above or should i do a light tint with body color paint????

all thoughts wanted..

I don't think I've ever seen the side markers covered in body color paint. Why not just get clear markers off eBay or smoked 1s?

Smoked will look nice if you color the insides of the headlights

His car looks a lot like yours and clear is pretty clean. Go with the clear.

i like the smoked. but i like how on the pics above when its sunny out or you get close you can see the orange and red behind the tint. if you look at the last two of the 3 pics you can see what i mean. Almost looks burnt red and burnt orange. different i guess. if i do smoke there will be no color behind it. thats why im curious on tinting them to blend right in with the body color (i wouldnt totally cover it just maybe 2-3 light coats) or do black with 2-3 coats so it looks smoked but able to still see the colors...

I agree. If you black out the inside of the head lights and get some overlays to make your tails look like the 2000-2001 SE tails, then go smoked. Otherwise, definitely go clear.

i was actually thinking on smoking the blinker light in the headlights. So in stead of getting clear i could keep the amber and smoke it do darken the orange and do the side markers smoke as well. i thin kthat would give it a sinister look....

Ok so im bringing back my old thread due to a few things. I had tinted the side markers with nite shade and then cleared over them but after a few months the stuff just starts to chip. Ive done this a few times so im thru painting them. Im looking to see what might be a better marker light to give the max a nice look...clear or smoked. Ive done a few things since then to keep in mind. Ive blacked out the headlights and today i took off that M3 spoiler. So after doing that i noticed the markers were in crappy shape again., so im wondering if i should get the cleared or smoked lenses off ebay

i had taken them off, sanded them to get the shine off with about 240 then 600 grit. Cleaned them then sprayed the tint with a few coats and then cleared them. They look mint when done, just like glass. But after washes, winter, and all the road debris it turns to crap in less than 6 months. Boogles my mind.

Yea i try to keep care of the wheels but i am really itching for some aftermarkets. Took that m3 spoiler off. Man it looks so much classier and sleeker.

With the headlights blacked out, definitely go smoked. Then get some '01 SE tails or smoke your tails and it will complete the theme.....

Personally i like the '01 SE tails better than the smoked look.
