high pitch whine noise

high pitch whine noise

so a few days ago this high pitch whine noise started with my car when i rev the engine almost sounds like a supercharger but not quete and not nearly as loud. i got 144k on the car trans rebuilt 6 months ago and all the maitenence is up to date . any one know what this could be?

Where is it coming from? Have you checked the alternator? AC Compressor? Have you done.... anything at all?

i hate no clue where its comming from deff not the trans but i mean once i open the hood sounds like its comming from inside the engine cover....i checked the belts the look fine and it dosent sound like its coming from anyone near the belts eather.

Have you done any recent maintenance to the car? Does it go away when the engine warms up? Is it only in gear, or in neutral also? Only when moving, or stopped too?

No need to yell. Have you tried to pinpoint it any further?

What engine cover? A stock VQ30 w/ USIM doesn't have an engine cover...

If you don't make a conscious effort to stop rubbing on folks, I'm calling your Mother.

Enik,

Could it be:

Belt tensioner pulley?

PS pump pulley?

AC compressor pulley?

Alternator pulley?

What you need to do is start bypassing these accessories and see if you can find the culprit.
