Starting Car causes power loss?

Okay. so I recently changed my hood struts and I dont think the hood sensor is "closing" (security light blinks now) but lately, when I turn the key I lose all power to the car and it won't resume until I fiddle with the POS connection on the battery. is this just a loose connection or something more?

I also added distilled water to the battery cells while changing oil / belts last week.

Thanks!

Have you tried tightening the clamp at all, or do you consider 'wiggling it' a normal thing?

Have you checked it for corrosion, checked anything?

I'm going to tighten it today. but I'm just curious if there's anything else that's a possibility.

Corrosion, loose connection, loose lug in the battery, quite a few things. You won't know until you actually look at it, though.
