1973 Dodge Dart, 440 Big Block, race or street, tubbed, roll cage

If you are interested in a Big Block Mopar that is outright nasty, and needs very little work, this is the car for you.
I just had all of the body work professionally done with new metal in all previous rust spots. We filled in all holes in the fenders from the emblems, shaved the antenna and gas cap as well. Painted Electric Blue Pearl The car runs great. It has a brand new 3" Exhaust system through Flowmaster mufflers, and Schumacher headers.

The motor is a well built 440 with 11.2:1 compression so it will run just fine on Premium, has a lumpy Mopar Purple Camshaft with mechanical lifters, Edelbrock Single plane intake, 9qt Moroso oil pan, Holley 1050+cfm carb flowed to 1170cfm, MSD ignition, distributor. The heads are ported bigger than any I have ever seen, you can almost stick your fist in the intake runners! The trans is a 727 with a reverse pattern manual valve body. It has a 3500 stall converter. The rear is currently a 8 3/4 pumpkin with a 3.91 spool. I do have a spare 3rd member if you do not want to run the spool. The car has mini tubs installed with the rear springs moved in to accomodate a 13" wide tire tucked in the fenders. It has upgraded axles, and Drag lite wheels with 13" wide Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires on the back, and brand new M/T skinnies up front.

I have just had a roll cage built for the car, but I have not welded in the driver side door bar to allow easier access while working on the car. It has racing bucket seats, and currently no rear seat. I have a metal sheet that needs to be cut out for the cage to block off the fuel cell in the trunk from the cabin for tech at the races. I have just installed a new Fiberglass hood with the 6-pack scoop. I do have the old hood if you would like it as well. I have a trailer, and can deliver within a reasonable distance for a reasonable fee. If you are interested, send me an email at maximaniac@verizon.net

Or call me at 703-980-2989
Jason

Asking $11,000 obo.

Video link...There are a few videos of the car.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwwoLYYI0I0

I have been asked a few times, but this car is probably less than one full day of work from being legal for the race track. It needs new seat belts to pass tech, and a couple small odds and ends.

I have not run it, but the guy I bought it from went 6.86@110 in the 1/8th with too small of a carb. When he ran it he had a little 700CFM Demon carb. I now have a Holley 1050+CFM that has had over $500 worth of work done to it and it flowed 1170CFM. There's almost $1200 in the carb alone!

Damn that thing is a beast then. Potential to be a great track car.
