More handling mods- Polyurethane Bushings

Alright this is in the wake of Dave B's post about the end link bushings. Dave got another question for you. I hear that only the top ones can be replaced on the Maxima. Is this so?

Also I did some researching and looks like Energy Suepension makes poly bushings for the control arms as well as the front sway bar. Excellent. This is definately my next project, cause its cheap. Poly sway bar bushings and end links, and poly control arm bushings to complete the picture. This almost makes me wonder if portions of the rear axle can be polyurethaned.

I did a search and came up with this thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....thane+bushing. I have not heard of anybody posting results on front sway bar and control arm poly bushings.

Do it. It's well worthwhile.

I just put them in my car along with the AGX's. 4 bushings in total, top and bottom. The old ones were definately crushed after only 38,000 miles.

Ok this brings up some questions I have:

I'm about to get and install GC coilovers with AGX. I want to replace as much polyurithane stuff as I can. Please list off all the things I can replace and where I can get them. I think while the car is having the suspension done is the idea time to swap the rest of this stuff out.

thanks in advance

bushings

I just replaced the bushings in my max a few weeks ago. The rubber ones were pretty bad. I bought the control arm bushings, sway bar, and endlinks. I bought them from suspension.com. For the end-link I bought universal endlink bushings since none are made for the max. I ended up with an extra set because you can't replace the bottom endlink bushing on the maxima. make sure you buy extra grease (they don't include enough with the kit), otherwise the bushings will squeak. As far as the ride, I really can't tell because I installed my eibachs and konis at the same time but I'm sure there is a difference.

Hello evryone, I've got a 5th gen Maxima. Does anyone have any idea if the bushings for the 4th gen will fit into the 5th gen as well ? Any input is greatly appreciated.
